Xella at “BAU 2019“ trade fair

At this year's BAU, we presented ourselves with intelligent solutions covering the entire construction process and positioned as a pioneer in our industry. In addition to large-format serial building, the focus was on our digital planning and large-scale building solutions as well as circular economy.

Xella introduced integrated system solutions and impressively underlines with innovative products its claim as a market leader.

Product innovation: Multipor desalination board
Also Multipor comes up with a product innovation: For the first time a Multipor board was introduced as a solution for refurbishing the masonry. By the use of the new board moistened masonry can quickly and sustainably been desalted and at the same time improved energetically. The market launch of the insulation board will take place in the middle of the year. The easy to handle board just has to be glued to the wall which is in need of rehabiltation and all without great effort. The processing is carried out according to the standard Multipor interior insulation system and functions as a surface for further coatings. The new refurbishment board has a thermal conductivity of 0,047 W/(mK) and will presumably be offered after its series start from 6 cm board thickness.

Circular economy
The protection of the environment and ressources plays a very important role in the whole Xella group: For that reason Xella delovped a clever recycling concept. Residues and waste materials at the construction sites can be disposed as single-origin building rubble or being uncomplicated and cost-efficient recycled, just by feeding it back into the production process.  Therefore Multipor provides so called “Big Bags“ for the construction site. The following film provides more information regarding the handling of those Big Bags.

Event "Digital":
The planning of buildings with 3D-Models is the future. BIM is pushed worldwide. Fort hat reason also Xella is intensivly dealing with that topic and offered the “Digital-Event“ at BAU trade fair 2019. Linda Haseidl, Sales & Marketing Manager at BIMobjects, reported on the chances and possibilities of digitalization within the construction industry. Dipl.-Ing. Andreas Radischewski, Digital Building Solutions and Transformation Manager at Xella, introduced the digital service “blue.sprint“, that optimizes the overall planning and building process.
